Community Consultation – Help Shape the Future of the Brunel Museum
Date(s) - 19/09/2020
12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The Brunel Museum has recently received development funding from the Heritage Fund and other generous funders to transform the museum.
If the next stage of our application is successful, a significant investment will conserve the historic building, improve visitor facilities and displays, and offer a wider range of events and activities for people.
Drop into the museum to find out more about the plans that are starting to shape up. Meet the architects Tate Harmer and look at their concept drawings so far – we want your opinions and suggestions! Let us know how to best serve our community. Yes, that means you.
We are delighted to announce that the Midnight Apothecary will be serving delicious home-grown mocktails, sodas from Square Root Soda, botanical cocktails, beer and wine from 12 noon – 5pm. Visitors will need to download the BUTLR app to take advantage of this – please download ahead of time if possible. Click here to download BUTLR. Food from the Mayflower will also be available from noon via the app.
You can also look forward to a tea stand in the roof garden serving teas 12-5pm. Payment will be cashless via our iZettle (£1.50) – so no need to download BUTLR if just wanting a cuppa!
(If you cannot make it on the day, the drawings will be available at the museum for the two weeks following the event, and you will be able to pass comments and suggestions on to our staff verbally or in writing.) To keep up to date with progress, you can check out our Community Consultation page which we will be updating regularly, or sign up to our newsletter here.
